The Best Beach in Asia: Boracay

Boracay is the Best Beach in Asia and the sixth best beach destination in the world. This 4.5-mile long island is famous for its powdery white sand and crystal clear water.

We stayed in Boracay Courtyard in Station 2, we booked through La Carmela's website,its the parent company.  The hotel only costs P1300 per night during peak season, P1100 during lean season. It was a very simple room with two beds and free breakfast and use of swimming pool at La Carmela de Boracay Hotel.

From Manila, you can reach Bora by plane from NAIA to Caticlan or Kalibo Airport or by ferry from Batangas pier to Caticlan Jetty Port. If you prefer to take a plane, I recommend you choose to arrive in Caticlan Airport because it's nearer to Boracay Island. You can also arrange airport transfers with your hotel for convenience. From the airport you will be picked up by your service van and drop off to Caticlan Jetty Port then you will ride a boat going to the island.

There are a lot of activities that you can do in Boracay like para-sailing, banana boat ride, snorkeling, zorb, diving and many more. You will be offered various packages by the local people, best if you can haggle. Aside from sunbathing, swimming and food tripping, I and Rei tried henna tattoo.

The 3 days and 2 nights stay was really short, I still can't forget the sad feeling I got when we were leaving Boracay. It was my first time there but definitely not the last one. I hope next time it will be longer and I hope I get to bring my family as well.
